Manual Osteopathy

  • Would you like to live pain free?

  • Do you want to sleep better?

  • Do you want to feel better?

Yuliya Bugera, Manual Osteopath, is a member of the Canadian Alliance of Alternative Medicine (ACMA).

Yuliya received her Diploma in Manual Osteopathic Practice in 2020 from the National Academy of Osteopathy in Ontario.

Osteopathic practitioners look for imbalances in your body and re-align your body using a variety of techniques.

On your first visit, Yuliya will do an thorough assessment. Then treat with various hands-on techniques to remove any obstructions that are preventing the proper functioning of the body.

Her treatments incorporate several techniques within the scope of practice of manual osteopathy, which include joint mobilizations to help reduce pain, spasm and tension, relax muscles and improve the body's natural ability to heal itself.

In addition, she uses muscle energy to improve muscle function, range of motion to increase joint flexibility, as well as visceral osteopathy to release fascial restrictions in the abdominal cavity, craniosacral osteopathy, Trigger Point Therapy, myofascial release, facilitated positional release techniques, and strain-counter strain.

Yuliya believes that osteopathic treatments offer many benefits to clients:

  • enhances self-awareness

  • increases balance

  • improves posture

  • strengthens muscle tone

  • reduces stress and anxiety

  • promotes inner peace and relaxation

Yuliya has a Master's Degree in Physical Education from Ukraine (2008), and incorporates her experience and background in physical education and sports into her practice.

Yuliya recently trained in Reiki Level I and can incorporate Reiki in her treatments. Please let her know if you'd like to receive Reiki as part of your treatment.

In her free time, Yuliya enjoys training in Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as well as hiking with her family.

What to Expect After a Treatment

Some clients may feel a bit of discomfort within 24 or 48 hours as their body stabilizes. But overall, the effects are: relaxation, lightness, unrestricted and less pain, as well as better sleep, better mood and increased overall energy.
